HERE ARE SOME INFORMATION REGARDING OUR PARKS, EMS AND FIRE DEPARTMENT
PICKAWAY COUNTY PARK DISTRICT
The Pickaway County Park District was formed in 2002. The mission of the Park District is to create, preserve, and manage a system of parks, trails and natural areas for outdoor recreation. Currently, the Park District manages three parks and five multi-use trails within the county as well as provides financial assistance to local communities for the development and improvement of their parks and trails.
SOUTHWEST PICKAWAY FIRE DEPARTMENT
Village records indicate a local fire department dating back to the early 1900s.
Obviously there have been a lot of changes since then.
We are a Volunteer Department that services a 93 square mile area. Each fire fighter in the department continues to train to meet department and state mandates. Almost every member has a FF2 certification.
If you would like to become a member and help your community, you can contact the fire department by calling 740-986-4019 and leave a message. Be sure to leave your name and phone number. We will be happy to set up a meeting with you and explain the process.
You can also visit our Face Book page under Southwest Pickaway Fire District.
